Albuquerque-Cleveland

Albuquerque sounds interesting.  I can see CO trying to route passengers through CLE to London and Paris when the new route opens.  I know they were at one point sending everyone from Vegas to London through CLE, or at least a large portion.

What are the available options for this route?

Re: Albuquerque-Cleveland

Yeah CO is a good bet.  Management said in October that CLE is "one of the most underutilized hubs in the Midwest."  They announced several new CO Ex routes for Spring '08, and they plan to continue adding destinations from CLE going forward.  CO plans to add more west coast destinations in '09, and while ABQ is not a west coast destination, I wouldn't be surprised if CO has ABQ on its mind.

WN is another possibility, but it would be a bit of a surprise.  WN serves six cities from CLE, with the smallest metro area being Nashville.  The Albuquerque metro area is only a little more than half the size of Nashville, so I think WN has several dots to connect in its route network before they would look at CLE-ABQ.

If anything, I see that as being a possible seasonal service....ABQ is especially popular in the winter/spring months to use Clevelanders...The weather for the most part stays pretty mild, and dry.

I wouldn't venture there for the summer months however...A bit too warm for my tastes
